Home Affairs Introduces Points-Based Visa System for Remote Work Visas and Work Visas
South Africa’s Home Affairs has announced the launch of a new points-based visa system, set to roll out within 30 days. This system will allow remote workers employed by foreign companies to live in South Africa while working remotely, spending their foreign earnings locally. No tax registration is required unless they stay over 183 days a year.
This new system aims to simplify visa processes and attract skilled foreign professionals. By removing the previous critical skills list requirement, it opens up more opportunities for global talent to contribute to South Africa’s economy.
At Black Pen Immigration, we’re ready to help you navigate the new visa requirements. Contact us for assistance in securing your South African visa.
